You know that saying "You can't pick who you love"? I know exactly what it means. It means that me, a serious chocolate lover, was just destined to fall in love with M, who prefers fruit desserts and white cake. White cake? Seriously? Who actually chooses white cake over chocolate? My adorable husband, that's who.
Just because I love him so much, I made him white cupcakes flecked with lemon and topped with raspberry buttercream a couple of years ago. As a professed chocaholic, I'd have to say, they were pretty good. Not chocolate, but still very good. The raspberry buttercream was very yummy. But you know what? Watching M eat his white cupcake made it all okay.

I have to admit, I would choose white cake over chocolate, too. Especially with a buttercream frosting. I made this cake for my daughter's birthday a while back and it was amazing. My husband told me it tasted like something from a good bakery...kind of like wedding cake. Yours look beautiful with the pink raspberry buttercream!
I totally get your husband. I feel the same way!
My husband doesn't even like cake. Or chocolate. He only likes fruity desserts. Boooring!
